Fire safety training
Would your staff know what to do?
Don’t think a fire won’t happen to you. Last year there were more than 15,500 recorded fires in UK businesses and community buildings, resulting in 888 casualties and 19 fatalities*.
Do your staff know what to do in the event of a fire? Does everyone in your team know how to use a fire extinguisher? Is your business providing the fire training it needs to?
Our fire safety training courses cover all this and more. Employees will learn how they can be more fire safe in their everyday roles, and will learn how their actions in the event of a fire could help to save their own and their colleagues’ lives.
We offer two courses - a comprehensive Fire Marshal course and a Fire Safety Awareness course, which covers all the basics, including:
- Fire safety legislation
- The correct selection and use of fire extinguishers, with a live fire demonstration
- Fire prevention and good housekeeping
- The theory and chemistry of fire and how it spreads
- Evacuation procedures
- Home fire safety
All you’ll need to supply are the trainees, a room large enough to accommodate them all, and an external area at least six metres away from any building for the live fire demonstration.
The fire safety training course is recommended for all company personnel, excluding fire wardens, who would need to undertake our more comprehensive Fire Marshal / Warden course. Call us on 0191 3750 264 to find out more.
